A slide deck assumes a presenter
Slides often rely on context supplied by a live speaker. A short label, chart or screenshot may be meaningful in a meeting but confusing when watched alone. Before importing, identify what the narrator must explain and what the viewer should inspect. Remove material that was only a speaking cue. Do not read every bullet verbatim while the same dense text remains on screen; use the two channels to complement each other.
Prepare the material before conversion
Check source ownership, remove confidential notes and replace obsolete screens. Fliki’s presentation feature page describes PPT, PPTX and PDF inputs with a 20 MB limit at the time of our review. Confirm current import requirements before uploading. A supported file extension does not guarantee that custom fonts, animations, charts or layouts will retain their original behavior. Keep the editable source and compare the imported result with it.
Convert the explanation, not just the pages
A single slide may need several scenes if it contains a process with multiple actions. Several simple slides may be better combined into one coherent sequence. Write narration that makes those transitions understandable. Add observation time for a chart, and do not rely on a mouse gesture that existed only in the live presentation. The output should work for someone who never attended the original meeting.
An illustrative adaptation
A fictional welcome deck has a title slide, an organization chart and a contact slide. The video may need only a brief introduction, a focused explanation of the one team the viewer will contact and a readable next step. It does not need a tour of every department. Check names, captions, permissions and the final frame size before release. This editorial adaptation is our proposed workflow, not evidence that automatic conversion preserves every slide or produces a complete training course.
